Free college-planning book available for seniors - Thomasville Alabama Times
High school counselors across the state will soon receive free college admissions and financial aid guides to distribute free to seniors. If you have a senior in your family who doesn't get one, encourage him or her to request a copy. "Getting In," now in its ninth edition, is published by the Alabama Student Loan Program - KHEAA and The Student Loan to help seniors prepare for college. It also has information about costs and admissions requirements for Alabama's two- and four-year colleges and universities. Separate sections cross-reference the majors available in Alabama - one lists majors by school, the other lists majors and shows which schools offer them. Other sections describe state and federal financial aid programs, online learning opportunities and helpful websites.
