Online academy offers alternative - Rob Cullivan, Gresham Outlook
In a few years, Oregon’s largest public school may exist in cyberspace. Oregon Connections Academy, an online learning school, serves students in grades kindergarten through 11th, and is a free charter public school authorized to serve all of Oregon, according to Matt Wingard, academy spokesman. The academy served 700 students its first year, 1,500 students the past school year and expects to enroll 2,000 in its third year next fall.
