Distance learning growing at college - Daily Reflector
Earlier this month, the University of North Carolina System revealed its plans to aggressively promote its distance education offerings. The goal is to recruit students currently enrolling in places like the University of Phoenix — the nation's largest online school. Online instruction is nothing new to Pitt Community College and the school continues to make the most of modern technology in meeting its students' educational needs, officials said. Pitt offers 19 curriculum programs entirely online and more than 200 distance education courses.
