Universities should be commended for continuing education programs - Staff Editorial, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Advance-Titan
Sometimes people surprise you. Just when the university was getting criticized for its lack of direction in terms of on-campus construction projects and long-overdue changes in homecoming activities, a university decision has been made that will benefit many people. Area teachers will soon be able to get master’s degrees at UW-Sheboygan through a program here at UW-Oshkosh. The Oshkosh Master of Science in education-curriculum and instruction collaborative degree will be structured in a different manner than most programs of its nature. An article in the Sheboygan Press said, “The program features a new hybrid learning model that allows participating teachers to earn their master’s degree through weekend in-person classes and online learning in their home or workplace.”
