Degree Kenya lists conditions for sucessful e-learning in Africa - Emeka Aginam, Vanguard
Ahead of eLearning Africa slated to hold in Nairobi, Kenya by the second quarter of next year, the government of Kenya has tasked African governments on IT education, saying that political commitment that guarantees resource allocation (budget, human) policy and strategic support are among the conditions for a successful eLearning in the continent. Speaking to a capacity audience at the just concluded 12th International Conference on Technology Supported Learning & Training-Online Education Berlin held in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Director of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Kenya, Mr. David Siele noted that a well developed and inclusive ICT strategies-harmonized and coordinated ICT initiatives are also pre-conditions for a successful e-learning in African continents said to be lagging behind in IT education
