Internet child safety first for university - Chris Gee, The Preston Citizen, UK
The first ever university certificate in child safety on the internet will be launched in Preston this week. The qualification, from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), is aimed at education and child welfare professionals, to ensure they have a full understanding of the risks to children from the internet. Armed with this knowledge, it is hoped these professionals will be able to educate children to be safe and responsible users of computer technology. The launch of the qualification coincides with Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, February 6.
