E-learning comes of age - Vern Faulkner, Esquimalt News
The sudden surge towards video-sharing websites like Youtube or Google video is more than a fad – it’s a sign of global cultural change. And that change means big things to E-Traffic Solutions, a Saanich company rapidly emerging as a global player in the distance-education market. E-Traffic once had to work hard to generate interest in its electronic education and assessment tools. But John Juricic, one of E-Traffic three founding partners, says that today, more and more corporate and government clients are expressing interest in electronic education or e-learning. “Online learning, e-learning, is where e-commerce was in 2001 and 2002. People are no longer trying to determine what e-learning is. It’s becoming an application that people want to use as part of their delivery mechanism or professional development.”
