UVSC Distance Learning Students Info Compromised - KUTV
Social Security numbers of about 15,000 people who taught or took distance-learning classes at Utah Valley State College were available online for six weeks, the school said. Personal information was snagged by the Yahoo Inc. search engine and available from Nov. 2 to Dec. 12, UVSC said. "They found a page that found a page that found a page. It was a needle in a haystack," said Ray Walker, head of UVSC's technology systems.
