Educational institutions including Harvard and Edinburgh universities have also established Second Life presences. The platform has been used to help people with Asperger's syndrome - a form of autism - to improve their communication skills, and to host self-help groups for schizophrenics and stroke sufferers. The news agency Reuters has established an in-world bureau to report on Second Life developments. Now the reality TV giant Endemol is planning a version of Big Brother in which the participants will be represented by avatars.
