Online courses grow in popularity - Israel Saenz, Corpus Christi Caller-Times
Del Mar College English professor Becky Flores wants to make it clear teaching online is not necessarily easier than teaching in the classroom. "It's bloody hard work," said Flores, a native of Australia. Flores, who teaches about 60 students online and about the same number face-to-face, said the only real difference is the flexibility online courses offer. But, she said, when a professor is not standing at the head of the classroom at certain times, it might be sending a false impression.
