Bentonville : Survey reveals college’s need for more online courses - CAROLYNE PARK, Arkansas Democrat
Northwest Arkansas Community College plans to increase its online course offerings to meet growing student demand for alternatives to traditional classroom study. At its monthly meeting, the college’s board of trustees reviewed results of three annual surveys used to help identify deficiencies and set goals. One of those surveys, the 2005 National Community College Benchmark Project, found that the Bentonville college offered only 2 percent of its total courses by distance learning, compared with an average of 6 percent of courses offered by benchmark colleges.
