Scotland: Distance No Object - Val McEwan, Legal Week
A new online training service is enabling solicitors in Scotland to develop legal knowledge and management skills, irrespective of their location. New rules governing the training of continuous professional development (CPD) have opened the door for the Law Society of Scotland to launch the country’s first web-based training services specifically for the legal profession. CPD Online was launched on 1 June in the wake of those changes and allows solicitors to complete five hours of CPD via distance learning with a permitted provider.
