More students are tuning in to online classes - John Scheibe, Ventura County Star
Eric Payne dreaded having to take an on-campus history class, especially if it lasted three or more hours. After an hour, Payne would lose interest in the lecture. His eyes would grow heavy, and he'd find himself having to fight dozing off in class. The Oxnard College student would miss quite a bit of what was said and would do poorly in the course, which is required for graduation.
