Yorkville University lets students learn from afar - JOEL O'KANE, the Daily Gleaner
Huma Saeedi, of Mississauga, Ont., might be the first person in Canada to ever receive a master's degree during a lunch break at work. But Yorkville University's first graduate, who received her degree in Toronto last week, said the experience is indicative of the online university that allows students to work and learn at the same time. She said she's thrilled to have her master of arts degree in counselling psychology, even if the experience was a little different than most university graduates are used to.
