Online textbooks just a click away - WALTER DAWKINS, North Jersey.com
Some students at Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale will be ditching their textbooks next year and studying biology and geometry online. "It brings the real world into learning," schools Superintendent Benedict Tantillo said. "Students can manipulate DNA, look at photosynthesis actually happening or perhaps learn how to build a house using the geometry they have learned." Online textbooks are so new that only a few school districts in North Jersey use them. But the cutting-edge trend is beginning to catch on nationwide
