Deal with Apple could make OSU academics available in the form of online podcasts - Lauren L. Dillard, Oregon State Barometer
OSU is on the verge of signing an agreement with Apple Computer, Inc. which will allow the university to compile sound files into an Apple-hosted Web site. “Our deal with Apple will give us the opportunity to podcast lectures and other things,” said Todd Simmons, assistant vice president of OSU News and Communications Services. On the OSU Web site, different departments have posted audio and video files for students. But the system is confusing: all of the pieces are spread throughout the Web site. “Our biggest problems is finding a way to manage all of that information,” said Director of Outreach and Media Services, John Greydanus.
