University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering DEN Predicts Dramatic Growth in 2006
USC Viterbi School of Engineering, one of the top engineering schools in the U.S., forecasts dramatic growth in students and offerings at online colleges this year. Established in 1972, USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Distance Education Network (DEN) is a pioneer and one of the oldest distance learning programs in the country. Kelly Goulis, executive director of DEN, forecasts the following: -- The majority of distance learning students will shift from domestic students to those residing outside of the United States. -- The use of mobile technologies will be commonplace and will truly enable "anytime, anywhere" learning as universities make their content downloadable in rich media....
