Mississippi Virtual Community College is hot with students - ANDY KANENGISER, Daily Journal
Online classes are in big demand at Mississippi's 15 two-year colleges. And the enrollment leader for the spring semester is Itawamba Community College, President David Cole said Monday. "ICC has the largest number in on-line learning,'' Cole said as he handed copies of a new report to school trustees on the Fulton campus. "They are convenient for the people we serve.'' Taught via computers, the courses that students are taking are on the network known as the Mississippi Virtual Community College. There are 14,631 enrolled at the virtual college network this spring, including 2,329 students at ICC, and the classes offer quality at a distance.
