RIT to start course podcasts - Matthew Daneman, Democrat and Chronicle
Rochester Institute of Technology students already can load up their iPods with music and episodes of the ABC show Lost. Soon they'll also be able to carry around some class lectures. Starting in March, RIT expects to begin make some lectures and course material available for download through Apple Computer's iTunes U. The 15,200-student school is applying to be one of about 400 that are part of iTunes U, a hosting service for various audiovisual content from colleges.
