LISD offers remote learning - Justin R. Kalmes, Daily Telegram
Shayna Keith didn't mind if her teacher lectured from a room more than 10 miles away if it meant getting to learn about Japanese culture. Luckily for the Deerfield High School junior, her instructor, Nina Howard, didn't object to a little distance between her and students either. Keith, 16, was one of three Deerfield students who participated Tuesday in a new distance learning course being offered through the Lenawee Intermediate School District. Students from Clinton Middle School also partook in the after-school class, dubbed Japanese Language and Culture Fun.
