Lectures via podcasts gaining ground at UA - LA MONICA EVERETT-HAYNES, Tucson Citizen
Alexei Moreno has spent the past year collecting 1,300 songs for her iPod. Now, the University of Arizona sophomore can use her gigabyte to download and store class lectures. UA began "podcasting" this semester, loading lectures on Web sites so that students can download and listen to them on their computers, iPods or MP3 audio players whenever they want. "I think that's cool," said Moreno, 19, a marketing and Spanish major. "They can help you when you're in a pinch," she said. "It would be easier to listen to a lecture rather than going online and reading it - if it's there."
