IWCC, BVU plan online degree program - BRIEN T. BOYCE, Zwire
It's been little more than a week since Iowa Western Community College and Buena Vista University formally announced the articulation agreement of a four-year degree program that will be completely online, but the idea is already being hailed as a success. Expect to see more programs, such as the business administration program that was announced Jan. 19 between the two schools, to become "the template that will be used throughout Iowa," said Rick McFayden, director of the Buena Vista University campus located within Iowa Western.McFayden said the four-year degree program allows prospective students to take their first two years at IWCC, then finish at Buena Vista without ever setting foot on the campus. No other program of this type currently exists at any other Buena Vista campus.
