Long-distance learning touted in Rockland - RANDI WEINER, THE JOURNAL NEWS
Rockland residents can use county-owned electronic systems to hold multisite meetings or listen to a lecture offered in an upstate college, but not many people know that. That's why Harriet Cornell, who helped create Rockland's Distance Learning initiative last year, is holding an open house to show the public what's available and how to use it from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Haverstraw King's Daughters Library. Cornell, D-West Nyack, is chairwoman of the Rockland County Legislature.
