In the past, studying especially at higher levels was a preserve of only a few who had the money as well as access to educational infrastructure. This excluded the poor and the rural folk. Now thanks to information technology, unlimited opportunities have been opened up for prospective learners. Online studying or E-learning refers to studies conducted through the internet. Educational centres in various developed countries have established learning centres online which avail course structures, course work and tutorials.
