Lectures, the Podcasting Way - Michael Santo, RealTechNews
OK, OK, that’s a little extreme. There’s still something about seeing a lecture live, but Stanford University has launched a pilot program, called Stanford on iTunes. You can download podcasts of lectures you miss. Stanford is not the first to distribute content to students in this way. Duke was actually the first, when in fall 2004 it gave 1600 iPods filled with orientation materials to freshmen. However, Stanford is the first to provide materials for public distribution.
