VITAL offers new online learning options - Britta Arendt, Grand Rapids Herald-Review
For students who do not learn well in the regular class environment, are home-bound, or have a limited choice of courses at their small school, the new Virtual Itasca Area Academy of Learning (VITAL) provides alternative curriculum opportunities online. Independent School District 318 School Board members learned all about VITAL during Tuesday’s board meeting when VITAL Administrator Rochelle Van Den Heuvel gave an overview of the program. Two years in the making, VITAL joins more than a dozen other state-certified online providers serving students throughout Minnesota and beyond.
