UMass expands online learning - Anna Dolianitis, Collegian Staff
The Center for Educational Software Development at the University of Massachusetts is expanding its computer science component by marketing it at universities nationwide this fall. Online Web-based Learning (OWL), first developed in 1996 at the UMass Amherst by the Center for Educational Software Development is now used at over 200 colleges and universities nationwide, including the University of Arizona, San Francisco State and Texas A&M.
