School finds virtual learning becomes a reality - National Grid for Learning
A new state-of-the-art IT facility at Aylesford School could be a sign of things to come. The Virtual Learning Environment - which also lets parents keep an eye on their children's progress in an online grade book - allows youngsters to log on to do their homework, with teachers marking the work and giving feedback online. Sixth-formers have gone a step further with a fully online ICT course, the first of its kind in the country, which sees A-level students communicating with their tutor only via the internet and emails.
