Professors debate web class managers - Roman Starsky, UTD Mercury
While the concept of computer-based classroom management programs is relatively new at UTD, students may see more professors offering class information through Blackboard, a rival program to WebCT. "WebCT officially became a UTD program four years ago, when it was integrated into the administration systems. Blackboard has been around just as long, but we don't have the enterprise edition like we do for WebCT," said Director of Technology Customer Services Doug Jackson.
