Free Online Course Registration Underway
When the call went out to help students whose studies were interrupted by Hurricane Katrina, nearly 30 Bowling Green faculty members expressed an interest in teaching online courses for them through the Sloan Semester program. “It was just a tremendous response, particularly because faculty already have full teaching loads,” according to Connie Molnar, director of IDEAL, BGSU’s office for distance learning. “The online courses will help students in a time of great need,” she continued, adding that the courses are free to students whose campuses were affected by the August hurricane. http://sloansemester.org
