UB Adopts Distance Learning Policy - Chandapiwa Baputaki, Mmegi/The Reporter (Gaborone)
The University of Botswana (UB) has institutionalised distance learning by adopting Distance Education Mainstreaming Policy. UB Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Professor Frank Youngman, said distant education and easy access to higher learning has become an integral part of UB mission. This has become possible through the utilisation of ICT, Youngman said at the official opening of the 38th Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA) annual workshop on Friday. The workshop that was held at the UB's Centre for Continuing Education.
