Thailand cyber university to open - KARNJANA KARNJANATAWE, Bangkok Post
The Education Ministry's Commission on Higher Education will invest 600 million baht to develop the Thailand Cyber University (TCU), an education portal for learning and sharing resources. Professor Pavich Tongroach, secretary of the commission, said the project would provide opportunities for those who want to gain university degrees but who are unable to attend classes. "TCU will be operated as a university but one where students can access an e-community via chat-rooms, get their assignments through web boards or attend a lecture via Net meeting," he said.
