Army’s e-Learning - STAN DAVIS, Federal Times
The dilemma facing Army leaders was not whether training was important — all agreed it was — but rather, “How can we maximize the time available to fit it all in?” The solution: Army e-Learning, the latest component of the Army’s Distributed Learning System, provides the entire Army work force — including active-duty soldiers, members of the Army National Guard and Reserve, Army civilians and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadets — access to more than 2,000 commercial Web-based information technology, business and leadership courses for professional and personal development. Courses are available via the Web 24 hours a day from any place in the world — at no cost to Army organizations.
