Even The U.S. Government Likes E-Learning - Tracey E. Schelmetic, TMC Net
E-learning has quietly replaced traditional learning in a number of ways, yet in extreme stealth. Many people don't know what the term "e-learning" means, though they regularly take part in it. The Internet is a wonderful medium for interactive learning. People seem to prefer it (clicking the mouse seems infinitely preferable to many people who abhor the old-fasioned "penciling in the little bubbles" method). Not only can Web-based educational programs provide coaching and testing before, during and after the learning process, but students can get immediate scoring and feedback, and the learning can be far more entertaining, including animation, photos, video, sounds and simulations: things that a blank sheet of paper can never provide.
