As cyber education grows, Kaplan University expands - MIMI WHITEFIELD, Miami Herald
.... Not only does cyber learning help commuter students who live too far from a bricks-and-mortar campus, but it fits into today's lifestyles. Carole Enneking, a Kaplan University student from Boca Raton, for example, takes one of her courses at 10 p.m. She works two jobs and says she just doesn't have time to commute to a traditional campus, find parking and then rush to a class. Could a cyber class be in your future? Eduventures, a Boston research firm, estimates that by 2008, one in 10 postsecondary students will take online classes to earn a degree.
