University Initiates an Ambitious E-Project - Ken Ramani, East African Standard (Nairobi)
Kenyatta University will soon have all its eight open learning centres connected via the Internet. This will enable KU's lecturers interact with students registered in various courses without necessarily travelling to the centres on a regular basis. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Everett Standa at the weekend told students at KU's Parklands Campus that a technical team will next month be trained to enable them offer assistance to departments and individual lecturers handling specific course units. He assured the students registered in the programme that the institution was determined to take education to their bedrooms.
