Online Learning In The Cyber Classroom - Art McFarland, WABC
Not every 7th or 8th grader wants to do school work in their spare time, but to these kids, it is time well spent. In a pilot program, the service called Virtual High School now includes younger students, through schools like Uniondale's Turtle Hook Middle School. Their principal says it exposes them to classes they would not get in school. The courses are considered exploratory, meaning the students do not get school credit for them, but the subjects are very advanced - from calculus to economics to biology, and more.
