Innovations in Distance Learning Program Development and Delivery - Schott, Chernish, Dooley, Lindner; DEC
Delivering high-quality instruction requires innovation in program development and delivery. This essay examines the use of merging technologies in the delivery of learner-based instruction, the development of collaborative teaching environments that maximize the efforts of faculty content experts, and the implementation of databases to manage electronic course materials at two large public universities. It also identifies effective strategies to develop more holistic teaching-learning communities and efforts to document learning outcomes using alternative forms of assessment.
