NUC Picks Three Varsities for Pilot E-Learning Project - All Africa
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has picked three universities under its e-learning pilot project for the promotion of Information and Communication Technology in education delivery. Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Peter Okebukola, name the e-learning institutes as the universities of Lagos, Calabar and Jos. He told the outgoing President, Commonwealth of Learning, Vancouver, Canada, Prof. Raj Dhanarajan, that the University of Lagos in Februrary took delivery of the facilities to kick-start the programme.... Okebukola said that the commission had in the past few years set the stage for ICT-driven education delivery and had begun such services with the setting up of the UNESCO supported Virtual Institute for Higher Education in Africa (VIHEAF).
