OSU opens its doors via online classes - Julia Lyon, The Bend Bulletin
More than a quarter century after Grant McCallum graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in nuclear engineering, he's back for more. But this time, after a career of working at nuclear power plants and for major corporations, he won't live in Corvallis. The engineering consultant won't even have to leave his home state of Washington. McCallum can get a master's degree in nuclear engineering from home. Last fall Oregon State University (OSU) began to offer master's degrees in nuclear engineering and radiation health physics online. Educators soon realized they had tapped into a hungry audience.
