More learning going online from Thailand - SRIWIPA SIRIPUNYAWIT, Bangkok Post
United Communication Industry Plc (Ucom), in collaboration with Thammasat University (TU), is tapping the increasing popularity of Internet usage through new e-learning programmes. In November, Ucom and TU launched the `Learn2gether' concept by offering three online-learning courses aimed at different target groups. ``The number of Internet users has been constantly increasing and the trend will certainly continue. Thus, we foresaw a good opportunity in this new business,'' said Tongsuk Nampanwiwat, Ucom's senior executive vice-president for corporate planning and strategy.
