New centre for e-learning - Jenny Rees, The Western Mail
The first International Centre for E-Learning, dedicated to innovation, research and evaluation of teaching methods, is to be set up at the University of Glamorgan. The centre will combine these activities along with international consultancy and the production of e-learning materials. The university has considerable expertise in the field having designed and led the highly successful E-College Wales on-line learning programme in which it invested about £7m of its own money, along with £6.3m of European Social Fund grants.
