Sloan Consortium, Southern Regional Education Board Join Forces to Improve Quality in Online Learning
E-learners in 16 southern states will benefit from a new partnership between the Atlanta-based Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) and the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C), an association of nearly 500 institutions and organizations of higher education engaged in online learning. The two groups are teaming up to improve online educational programs offered by their members. "By working with SREB and other similar associations, we aim to expand the reach of online learning so that people can have greater access to new educational opportunities," says Frank Mayadas, President of Sloan-C. "SREB will be able to tap into our knowledge to improve the quality, scale and breadth of online learning, and tailor its online programs to the needs of its constituencies."
