Sloan-C Medal of Honor Awarded for Vision and Leadership in Online Learning
The Sloan Consortium, a rapidly growing association of academic institutions and organizations that share information about effective online learning, will award its first ever Sloan-C Medal of Honor at its upcoming international conference. Dr. Ralph E. Gomory and Dr. A. Frank Mayadas, of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, are being awarded the inaugural Sloan-C Medal of Honor for outstanding vision and sustained leadership in transforming higher education through support of exemplary approaches to online teaching and learning. Ten years ago, when online learning was nearly unheard of, these men envisioned a world where students could learn online anytime, anyplace.
