Here's how you can tell the difference between legitimate online universities and diploma mills. Watch out for these red flags: The name of the school is similar to a well-known, reputable university. For instance, Columbia State University, Clermont College or Harvard. Is the Web site comprehensive or is the site merely an online brochure? Does the Web site display a photograph of a sample diploma? This must work as many phony schools do this....
