How business is driving learning change - Learning Technologies 2004
Derek Bembry, of HP's Enterprise Systems Group, will present the opening keynote address at the Learning Technologies Conference on 28 January 2004. Derek will open up one of the conference's key topics: if business is driving learning change how do HR, IT and training managers respond? .... Meanwhile, e-learning is slowly coming back to the world of respectability - as a part of the new world of blended learning. Along with it comes a range of software tools that have now become a daily part of the way we learn, as well as some surprising learning adaptations of existing desk top tools. E-mentoring and other new methodologies are touted as ingredients to the training mix: will they work or are they simply fads? At the same time, training providers - whether internal or external - are being forced to respond to the demands of buyers, who want classroom courses designed to suit their needs, and not suppliers'.
