UK Libraries urged to bridge the 'digital divide'
Culture minister Lord McIntosh has called on libraries to take up a key role in bridging the "digital divide" between rich and poor. In an interview with ePolitix.com, the minister said that libraries should move away from the perception of them as "dust and shelves". He said that he has been working hard to promote a new role for Britain's libraries in encouraging e-learning.
