.... Some analysts have argued that online education represents a co-modification of the educational process, allowing students to purchase and consume courses like a sandwich or a new pair of shoes. Some social scientists predict in the future, traditional face-to-face education will become a luxury reserved only for a few elite universities, with everyone else receiving their post-secondary education online. What would be the societal impact of such a shift? What would be the impact on student socializing and democratic interaction, discussion and debate?
