Western Iowa Tech Community College announces record enrollment - Sioux City Journal
Western Iowa Tech Community College (WIT) Tuesday announced a record enrollment for this fall. A total of 5,238 students have registered for classes, a 2.1 percent increase over fall 2002. WIT also has experienced a surge in student demand for online learning. Enrollments in online classes increased 39 percent over fall 2002. Dr. Carolyn Rants, dean of students, attributes this growth to the convenience and flexibility of online learning.
