UNL Receives Grant To Boost Distance Learning Program - The Omaha Channel
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's distance learning program will receive a National Science Foundation grant to boost its programs. The grant will be used to establis and maintain 400 high-performance Internet satellite network locations. The American Distance Education Consortium will use the nearly $400,000 for its Advanced Internet Satellite Extension Project. Janet Poley, consortium president and CEO, said the research being completed in the Caribbean rain forest is one example of the programming shared through the project.
